Stakeholder Forum Meetings

The Stakeholder Forum includes a broad coalition of organizations and members of the public who are interested in the restoration project. The Forum played a critical role in developing the current restoration plan. Forum members now meet in geographically based Working Groups and come together as a larger group roughly once a year.

October 20, 2011 Meeting

The focus of this annual meeting was on the tremendous progress made by the Project in the past year expanding tidal habitat restoration and developing detailed designs for flood management in the far South Bay. Project Partners presented highlights of this past year’s progress. In addition, Lead Scientist Laura Valoppi briefed Forum members on highlights of the applied research that’s been under way in the past year that will help to shape restoration activities over the next phase.

Finally, meeting participants provided feedback to the Project Partners on the proposed actions for Phase 2: the next phase of restoration project activities, and to comment on the tidal flood protection designs being considered for the Alviso area.
