The Bay Trail at Eden Landing
Come explore a new segment of the Bay Trail at Eden Landing. Peruse the interpretive panels, view wildlife along the trail, or simply take in the peaceful landscape, previously closed to the public, from one of several benches.
Directions to the Bay Trail Staging Area, located at the end of Eden Landing Road in Hayward:
From westbound highway 92, take the Clawiter Rd/Eden Landing Rd. exit and go left at the light, over the overpass, and continue straight at stop sign, south of highway on Eden Landing Rd. to the end, near the intersection of Arden Rd.
From eastbound highway 92, take the Clawiter Rd/Eden Landing Rd. exit and turn right at stop sign at the end of the exit. Follow Eden Landing Rd. southbound to the end near Arden Rd.
Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center (Interpretive Displays, Views)
Perched on stilts above a salt marsh, the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center is your introduction to the ecology of the San Francisco Bay-Estuary. The Interpretive Center features exhibits, programs and activities designed to inspire a sense of appreciation, respect and stewardship for the Bay, its inhabitants and the services they provide. After getting an overview of the park and its features, join a naturalist on one of the many weekend interpretive programs offered. School Programs conducted Wednesday through Friday by reservation.
Directions: From Hayward, exit 92 at Clawiter/Eden Landing. Go straight at the light, then left onto Breakwater Ave. Follow Breakwater Ave. to the end. From San Mateo, exit 92 at Clawiter/Eden Landing. Turn left at the stop sign and another left at the first light. Make a third left at the gas station onto Breakwater Ave. Follow Breakwater Ave. to the end.
