Restoration Work Days

The US Fish and Wildlife Service and the CA Department of Fish and Game, in partnership with Save The Bay, schedule restoration work days throughout the year. You can help put your shoulder to the wheel by volunteering a couple hours to help pull weeds, and plant native species. Check Events & Meetings for the next restoration work day. If you do not see a work day scheduled, you can check the Save The Bay volunteer pages at http://www.savesfbay.org/volunteer.

Docent Tours

Each year the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service trains volunteers to lead guided public tours of the Project. The ultimate goal of the Docent program is to get community members developing and presenting their own programs. Please contact Jose Garcia at (510) 792-0222, x141, to learn about other ways to get involved or to sign up for a future docent training!

Volunteer with Other Refuge Activities

The US Fish and Wildlife Service Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge offers multiple opportunities for volunteers, including work in environmental education, maintenance, resource management and at the native plant nursery. To find out more information or contact the Refuge, see their volunteer webpage.
