The purpose of this Local Government Forum meeting is to provide local government officials and staff an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed project alternatives that will be further discussed at the Stakeholder Forum meeting held the following week. While comments and input is desired on the range of alternatives at both of these meetings, no formal written comment period is being provided. During the EIS/R development, however, formal comments will be accepted on the Draft EIS/R document. A concise description and maps of the proposed alternatives is available for review. July 7th, 2005 Meeting
Presentation included an update on the status of the Initial Stewardship Plan, potential revisions to the draft project alternatives, discussion of opportunities for upcoming site tours, and an outline of the next steps in planning process.
November 10th, 2004 Meeting
Outcomes from recent public workshops on initial ideas for restoration of the various salt pond clusters were discussed as well as the schedule of events, including the initiation of the scoping period required by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
