Wetland Plant Tour at the EEC

Enjoy a guided walk through the Refuge's many habitats while learning about our native plant species! 

Join the San Francisco Bay Wildlife Society tour. On our walk, we'll stop to see, smell, touch, and even taste a variety of native plants that call the Refuge home. We'll also discuss the importance of native plants in supporting native animals, keeping our watersheds clean, and protecting humans from the effects of climate change. 

This will be a leisurely hike, of a distance of around 0.8 miles, on mostly flat terrain. This program is great for families and adults!

Other considerations:

• What to bring: Sun protection (such as sunscreen, hat, sunglasses) and layers, sturdy closed-toe walking shoes, and filled water bottles.
• Uneven road with critters to the parking lot
• Portable toilets and handwashing stations available there
• Benches available along the trail
• Pets are not allowed aside from service animals
